The Shadow Hunters

"Mornin' Bell...sleep well?" Dire asks stick his arms around her grabbing the soap. He tells her about War's messages and they both laugh out loud. "Wonder what's on todays agenda."

Bella blushes, "I slept well enough just not quite long enough." Grinning at the memory. "How about you? Did I wear you out enough?" She chuckles and rinses her very long red hair.

Dodging her long red hair Dire turns her to him and deeply kisses her,"you tell me".

Bellare feels his body pressed against hers and kisses back. Her com link goes off and she reluctantly pulls back from him hearing Wicked over the comlink. "Bellare, Dire? War Monger says you kept him up all night and is requesting a room change." Wicked chuckles. "I have missions for you asap." Bellare groans as Dire is teasing her relentlessly. "Come on baby, we have to go." she murmured before kissing him.

Wicked chuckles thinking about Bella and Dire and War Monger with his head under a pillow. She thinks on her night with Sideswipe. He was still sleeping in her room. They had come back when the sun came up and he went back to bed. She couldn't believe how lucky she was that he had come back to her.

Dire grumbles under his breath as Bellare and him dress they quickly head for the office and grab a mission, deciding they work well together they head out together. Looking over the mission Dire curses as a description is spelled out, crumbling the paper up he says one name, "Cats Paw!!!"

Wicked grins when Bella and Dire come in. "We'll be back." Bella smiled as she walked out after Dire. Wicked started singing with the radio as she worked on paperwork. She answers her com when maintenance calls. "Wicked? Can you come in here we have questions about the damage to the kitchen...we are rethinking the structural integrity with heroes here." Wicked smirks and answers back. "On my way."


Bellare catches up to Dire. "Who is Cats Paw and what did he do?"

Dire takes in a deep breath as old memories flood back,"well he's actually my great nephew born around nineteen hundred. Claw saw potential in him and recruited him for our merc group....see Claw can look into a person and can tell if they have latent meta powers...problem was no matter what he tried he couldn't activate our powers. It wasn't until my first run in with War and his wife that our powers activated. Well Claw saved Cats Paw and left me behind...we've fought since then off and on and now we're more like bitter enemies than family."

"Oh I see, family problems. I understand all about those." Bellare nods and thinks of her brother Ares. "You ready?" She takes his hand to shimmer.

"Yeah I am...just hope my ex ain't there...could get ugly." Dire replies with actual concern in his voice. "They have been known to team up together a lot."

War Monger eyes snap open as pain stabs through his body. Pulling the covers aside he sees the purplish energy bubbling in the middle of his chest, with a loud yell his body begins to glow as he forces the purplish energy to subside. Panting hard he sits up, his body slick with cold sweat,"damn...its getting worse."

"Your ex?" Bellare looks at him eyebrows raised. "I would love to meet her. She'll be sorry to see how well you have upgraded." Bellare grinned from ear to ear. Taking his hand she chuckled and shimmered them to the location.

After talking to the maintenance and construction manager Wicked saunters back into her office chuckling to herself.

After getting a shower and dressed War decides he needs to work off some built up energy. Heading to the gym, he feels the need to blow something up. As he begins his workout flinging objects in the air blasting them as they fall he hits the ground hard, his breathing ragged as more purple energy escapes this time, unable to control it he fights for what seems a lifetime to keep it in place. Keying up his com he calls out to anyone at the HQ for help.
